PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FORECASTING COMMITTEE (PDFC) APPLICATION

Are you passionate about administrative professional development and meeting the changing needs and trends of the administrative professional community at large?

If you enjoy research, professional development, and adult learning methods, the Professional Development Forecasting Committee (PDFC) is a great fit for you. PDFC members research business needs and trends to recommend needed training topics and learning modalities along with hosting focus groups to ensure IAAP’s programs and services remain relevant and forward-thinking.


Purpose and Work

The PDFC is a standing committee of IAAP commissioned to research and review business needs and trends relating to the administrative profession and recommend learning topics and areas to ensure administrative professionals are meeting not only today’s business needs but are also prepared for future needs.

  • Research forecasts, trends, business needs, other admin organizations, etc., and recommend necessary learning areas and education topics on a regular basis
  • Host focus groups bi-annually to learn about IAAP program experiences and how to improve them (a variety of IAAP programs and services)
  • Research and recommend adult learning methodologies to help ensure IAAP programs are relevant and impactful
  • Oversee Speaker Connection form/database and review regularly when trainers are needed to make recommendations

Time Required:  1-5 hours per month

Term Length: One ( 1) year (Governance Year runs July-June)
